The first step in acquiring your medical marijuana card is to schedule an appointment with one of our experienced medical cannabis doctors. Step 2: Your Doctor will Review your Medical Records
Your TruReleafMD Physician is required to review your medical history, which includes medical records. When necessary, we can assist you in obtaining those documents. However, if you have those medical records, please fax or email them to TruReleafMD prior to your scheduled appointment, or bring them with you to your appointment.
Step 3: Doctor Will Provide a Recommendation if you Qualify
If the doctor deems your condition as one that qualifies for medical marijuana, they will register your certification for medical marijuana use, pursuant to Mississippi laws. You will then want to apply to the Medical Cannabis Program as a patient within 60 days of this certification. You’ll then receive your Mississippi medical marijuana card electronically and can shop at any licensed dispensary in the state of Mississippi.
Step 4: Schedule Follow-Up Appointments
According to the law in Mississippi, you must follow up with your physician 6 months after your initial appointment to renew your Mississippi medical marijuana card. After the first year, you are required to be seen once annually by your physician to keep your card and recommendations active.
